On April 8, 2024, we have a rare opportunity to witness an extraordinary solar eclipse, a phenomenon not seen for decades.

In accordance with the teachings of our beloved Prophet Muhammad it's essential to remember the Sunnah and engage in acts of worship during this time.

As the Prophet (SAW) advised, "So whenever you see these (eclipses), perform Salah and make Du’a until the eclipse is cleared." (Bukhari)

We will be gathering for Salatul Kusuf at 2:15 PM, offering us a chance for collective Ibadah and Du’a.

We are delighted to announce that Sr. Anum will be commencing fitness classes exclusively for women at Townline Muslim Centre. These classes will take place every Saturday from 9 am to 10 am. Sr. Anum, a dedicated fitness enthusiast who also coaches and trains other Muslim women, will facilitate the sessions.

Please note that these classes are open to women only, aged 15 years and older, who do not have any significant or pre-existing medical conditions. Due to limited space, we can accommodate a maximum of 15 women.

The kids will get a participate in various learning programs, including arts, sports, Quran, and much more. The 9 weeks long program will be held on four days a week (Mon - Thurs) and will be focused on many activities.

"Art with Peace: Drawing and Painting through Islamic Art" is a course designed specifically for children aged 7 to 12 who have an interest in learning how to draw and paint. The focus of these classes is to teach fundamental skills required for drawing and painting in an enjoyable and secure environment.

Throughout the course, students will be introduced to the basic design elements that are present in Islamic art, such as geometric patterns, floral designs, nature study, and still life. They will also learn about the techniques used in Islamic art and apply them to their own artwork. By studying the organic and inorganic forms present in Islamic art, children will develop a greater appreciation for this diverse artistic tradition.

Participating children will develop self-confidence, patience, and a sense of accomplishment as they explore the beauty of Islamic art. A course portfolio will be maintained, allowing children to monitor their progress and showcase their work inspired by Islamic art.

This virtual workshop focuses on how women can achieve maximum benefits from Ramadan.

Part 1 of the workshop will focus on the importance and objectives of Ramadan and Part 2 will focus on overcoming the challenges that women face juggling multiple roles and how to balance them in this blessed month of Ramadan. The ideal age for this workshop is for ladies ages 18 and over and at the end, we will hold a Q/A session with Alimah Arifa Motala.

We are pleased to announce that TMC is bringing back the Toddlers Club! Our team has been working hard to revive this program, and we're excited to announce that our first session will take place this month, Insha’Allah!

Our opening session will be extra special as we celebrate the holy month of Ramadan with the little ones. They'll enjoy a fun and educational story time about Ramadan, followed by some exciting Ramadan-themed activities and much more!

Townline Muslim Centre is excited to host another youth program for our sisters ages 15-19!

If you enjoy bubble tea, this event is for you! We will start with a fun game of Islamic trivia and end off with a bubble tea making workshop.

Registration is mandatory in order to participate.

Join us for a school awareness program, in which we will discuss the social issues our youth face in school. Parents will receive guidance on what proactive steps they need to take, to ensure their children are being protected from today's fitnah.

Our guest speaker will be Sheikh Ibrahim, an Islamic scholar, and a public high-school teacher in Toronto, ON.

Please note, this is an ADULTS/PARENTS only program! Children and teenagers will not be allowed to attend the program as this session is geared towards parents. If you have young children and cannot leave them at home, babysitting will be provided for them.

Dinner will be served after the program Insha’Allah.
